Tips from our artists working and showing at the gallery
Our Favorite Art Book Reviews, Product Reviews.
Specials just for our members.
We are using Memberships, to help us with our fundraising to keep the gallery going and to add a little extra art into the lives of the people who believe in our cause, and love art like we do! We will be adding different fun things every month, sometimes it will be videos, tips, tricks, digital downloads, and notices of sales just for you as a member.
Our current programs and goals are......
Retail extension hours.
We will be adding more hours when we move to our new location so we are looking for Interns!
Since the opening of the gallery Christy has been working for free when she has the gallery open. We haven't found anyone interested in donating their time like she has to keeping the gallery open longer hours for the community to have more chances to come in and view the new art and purchase work from local artists.
Christy will be keeping the gallery open while she works in her clay studio but we are hoping to fundraise to hire help so we can extend those hours. Christy is planning on being at the gallery/studio 11-3 Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and 11-6 on Friday's. We are hoping to find enough funding for someone to work 3-6 Wednesday through Saturdays, so the space can be open 11-6 those 4 days a week.
Free Teen Open Studio Nights
Art is so healing, and it can help people work through different fazes of life. Teens can totally benefit from that! They are going through a ton of changes and a ton of stresses. Life for teens is in some ways easier than past generations but way more stressful! We would like to create a program for teens that lets them relax, experiment, create, and have fun, and we would love for it to be free!
This group would meet twice a month, teens can bring their own art supplies, or use some of our free art supplies, or they can purchase some inexpensive supplies if they want to do something they don't have the materials for and don't have the ability to get to the craft store. All three of our resident teachers will be working on this program so sponsoring this program will help employ 3 artists.
The cost of this program is $1,500.....currently Christy is hosting this program and has not used any funds...but if she is unable to continue the program herself we would need funding for a new teacher to take over.
Free PreSchool Art Classes
Art is great for developing minds, and exposure to art is a wonderful enhancement to their developing personalities, minds, and culture. When they take a class at the AIE they have a lot of fun, but they also get a chance to see beautiful artwork by local artists. They are introduced to different forms of art through class and through the gallery shows every month.
The cost of this program is $1,500
Free Adult Open Studio Time
Art is great for the preschoolers but it is also what our minds crave as we age! Art can help our minds stay active, and give our minds an outlet to pent up creativity that is dying to get out from years of holding down a 9-5 job, or from years of being a stay at home mom. Becca has a Bachelors of Art History and Studio Painting she leads the group with a positive direction that helps the beginner and is a pleasure to paint with as an advanced artist.
The cost of this program is $1,200
Free Class Field trips
Each student is able to create a painting or artisan craft or painting on their field trip. They will learn about our gallery and the art hanging in it. And they will be encouraged to use creativity in their daily lives. The cost is $15 per student.
If you choose to sponsor a specific class we will credit your sponsorship directly towards that classroom. Or you can sponsor a class and we draw from the lottery of teachers interested in a free class at the gallery.-
Programs we dream of doing in the future........
This class could be for people recovering from substance abuse, or loosing a loved one. Art is so healing, and every time we create we use a different part of our brains, so the part we are currently using gets a break.
